What a charging station replaces

Three Apple devices normally means three cables, two of them proprietary, all of them somewhere behind a bedside table. One stand with one plug behind it is the entire reason these exist. The magnets matter more than they sound too, because a phone that snaps into position charges every time, whereas a flat pad is the thing you find in the morning sitting next to your phone rather than under it.

Common Questions

Does it come with a plug? Cable yes, mains plug no. It wants a PD 3.0 plug rated 9V 2A or better, so it is worth having one ready. An old 5W plug makes for very slow going.

Will it charge a non Apple watch? Apple Watch only, sorry. The watch spot is shaped and tuned for that one, so a Samsung or Garmin will not pick up a charge.

Does it work through a case? Through a thin case, yes. An official MagSafe case holds strongest, and a thick case, a metal plate or a pop socket will weaken the magnets or stop the charge.

Will it charge any AirPods? Any case that already does wireless charging, yes. The older wired only cases will not take a charge from any pad, this one included.

What is the difference between the versions? The Qi2 T255 and T256 options are the newer models, and White and Black are the base pair. If you want a clock on it too, the 4 in 1 with a display is the alternative, and the rest are in Wireless Chargers.
