Bongo Cat Neon Sign | Handcrafted LED Streaming Room Light

The Bongo Cat neon sign, the meme that refuses to die, cut into acrylic and lit with soft LED neon. It taps away on the wall behind you on stream, or just glows quietly while you work. Ten brightness levels, USB powered, and built to be left on.

What you get

• Precision cut acrylic panel with a matte, glare free surface
• Ten brightness levels, 10% to 100%
• USB powered, using around 17% of the energy of glass neon
• Snap fit bracket for wall, ceiling or freestanding mounting
• Tested to 5,000 hours with under 8% light decay

Why a Bongo Cat neon light works on camera

A poster disappears on a webcam. A neon light does not. The 0.99mm light emitting surface sits flush to the wall and reads as a solid glowing shape on stream, and because it dims in ten steps you can drop it to a background glow that will not blow out your camera exposure. If you want a softer overall wash behind you, pair it with something from LED Strip & Fairy Lights.

Putting it up

The bracket system means one person can have this on a wall in about five minutes. No drilling into anything if you use the hooks, which matters if you are renting and would like your deposit back.

Common Questions

Does it get hot? No. It is LED, not gas. You can touch it after hours of use and it will be barely warm, which is why it is fine in a bedroom or above a desk.

Is it real neon? No, and that is deliberate. Real glass neon is fragile, expensive and gets hot. This is LED flex on acrylic, which gives you the same glow without the risk.

Can I leave it on all night? Yes. It is rated to 5,000 hours with under 8% decay, so a few hours a night for years is well within it.

Does it come with a plug? It powers over USB, so a phone charger, a laptop or a power bank all run it. For a wall socket you will want a standard USB plug adapter.

Are there other cat designs? Nine of them, all on the Cat Neon Signs page.
