Why an unpowered controller stand is the sensible one

Lit racks with charging ports are the ones people look at first, and then the cable has to get to the shelf under the telly, and the lights are on in a dark room while you are watching something. This does the actual job, which is stopping two pads and a headset living in a heap on the carpet, and it does it with no power and nothing to go wrong. The clear one is worth a look if the shelf is already busy, because it more or less disappears.

Common Questions

Does it charge the pads? It is a holder, not a charger, so the pads still want their cables. If you would like charging as well, the RGB controller stand has a USB and a Type-C port built in.

Will it hold an Xbox pad? It is shaped around PlayStation pads. An Xbox or Switch Pro pad will sit on it happily, it is just not the snug fit that a PS5 pad gets.

Does the headset tier take a big headset? Yes, it takes a normal over ear pair. The tiers are sized so the headset sits above the pads rather than resting on them.

Is the clear one brittle? It is the same moulding as the coloured ones, just untinted. Clear plastic shows scuffs more readily than black does, which is the only real trade.
