Why a screen light beats a desk lamp

A desk lamp beside a monitor puts a bright patch on the glass, and most people solve that by turning the lamp off and working in the dark, which is worse. A light bar sits above the screen and aims down, so the desk is lit and the display is not. It also takes no desk space, because it stands on the monitor you already own.

Common Questions

How does it stay put? It rests on the top edge with a weighted counterbalance, so nothing clamps or sticks to the screen.

Will it fit a curved monitor? On a gentle curve, yes. On a sharply curved ultrawide it sits on the flattest part of the top edge rather than following the bend, and returns are free for 30 days.

Does it come with a plug? No mains plug needed. It runs from USB at 5V, so the monitor port, a laptop or a phone charger plug all work.

Which colour setting should I use? Cool daylight for working, warm white in the evening. Mixing colour temperatures in one room is what makes a setup look off, and the warm white or cool white guide covers it.
