Why a neon rope light looks better than a normal strip

A bare LED strip shows every individual chip, which is fine hidden behind a TV and less fine when you can see it. This one sits inside a silicone diffuser, so the light comes out as one even line. That is what makes it work for the things people actually want to do with it: bending it into a word above a bed, running it round a mirror, or tracing a skirting board where the strip itself is on show. It bends side to side, not front to back, so plan your shapes flat against the wall.

Does it come with a plug? Yes, the full set includes a power adapter. Pick UK at checkout or you will get an adapter you cannot use here.

Can I cut it to length? The supplier does not mark cut points on this silicone neon strip, so treat it as a fixed length and order the roll closest to what you need. If you want something cuttable, the COB LED strip is cuttable every 25mm.

Is it real neon? No. It is LED inside a silicone tube, made to look like neon. That is a good thing here, it runs cool, it does not shatter, and it costs a fraction of glass neon.

Does it work with Alexa? Yes, over WiFi through the Smart Life or TUYA app. Google Assistant, SmartThings and IFTTT work too.

Can I put it outside? It is listed as waterproof but no IP rating is given, so keep it to covered spots like a porch or a summerhouse rather than somewhere fully exposed to rain.
