A wall clock is the one thing in a room that everybody looks at and nobody thinks about, which is exactly why it is worth getting right. These are the ones with something to say for themselves: a melting clock that pours itself down the wall, a hand drawn wooden face, and a 39cm cream minimalist for when you want it to be quietly good rather than the talking point.
Silent matters more than people expect. A ticking clock is fine in a hallway and maddening in a bedroom or a small flat where the walls are close, so every clock here runs on a sweeping movement rather than a stepping one. If it is going near where you sleep or work, that is the spec to care about.
For a desk rather than a wall, the silent desk clock has luminous hands and a backlight you can tap on in the dark, which is the detail that makes it useful at 3am. The rest of the wall lives in Room Essentials, and the desk in Desk Essentials.
