Hung flat on a big empty wall this gets lost, because the whole joke is the droop and you need an edge for that to land. It works best over the lip of a shelf, on the corner of a mantelpiece, or on the side of a bookcase where the melted section can hang down against something. Treat it as an ornament that tells the time rather than the clock you check from across the room, because at 18cm you will not read it from the sofa.
Common Questions
Does it come with a battery? No. It needs one AA and there is none in the box.
Is it silent? The supplier does not say, and it is a standard quartz movement, so assume it ticks. If you want a guaranteed silent one for a bedroom, the wooden silent wall clock has a sweeping movement instead.
The battery box on the back feels loose, is that a fault? Not necessarily. The battery box and the hands are one connected piece, and the supplier warns it can work loose in transit. If it does, glue it back in place. Do not pull the battery box off, because the hands come away with it.
Is it as big as it looks in the photos? It is 18cm at the widest point, which is compact. Check that against your shelf before ordering.
Are the numbers Roman or normal? Roman numerals on the current version, not 1, 2, 3.
