Lighting is the fastest way to change how a room feels, and it doesn't take a full redecoration to do it. This is where we keep everything that glows: LED strip lights for behind your TV or under your desk, sunset and projection lamps for late nights, salt lamps, star projectors and colour changing bulbs.
Most of it runs off USB or a normal plug, so you're not rewiring anything. Adhesive strips peel off clean, which matters if you're renting and would quite like your deposit back.
Two easy places to start: the dimmable under cabinet light for a shelf, wardrobe or kitchen unit with no switch nearby, and the monitor light bar if it is your desk that needs sorting.
Looking for something more specific? Head to LED Neon Signs for wall pieces with a bit of personality, or Desk & Table Lamps if you want something that sits on a surface rather than sticks to a wall.
Two smaller groups worth a look: Mushroom Lamps for the dome shaped table and ceiling lights, and Motion Sensor Lights for the rechargeable ones that switch themselves on inside a cupboard or along a hallway.

Common Questions
There is a lot in here. Where do I start?
By what you are lighting. Walls go to LED Neon Signs. Surfaces, bedsides and corners go to Lamps. Anything running along a shelf, a desk edge or the back of a TV goes to LED Strip & Fairy Lights. Most rooms end up with one of each, doing three different jobs.
What runs on USB and what needs a socket?
Most of this range is USB at 5V, which means a phone charger, a laptop or a power bank will run it and there is no adapter hunting. The E27 lamps and the 12V strips are the mains ones, and those carry a Plug Type option on their product page, so choose UK when you order. Every product page says which it is.
Can I put this up in a rented flat without losing the deposit?
Almost all of it, yes, and that is the point of most of what is in here. Neon signs hang on hooks or stand on a shelf. Lamps plug in and sit down. Fairy lights run on batteries and go anywhere. The one to think about is adhesive strip on a painted wall, because fresh emulsion or flaking paint can lift, so run those along a shelf edge, a skirting board or the back of furniture instead. There is a full guide to doing this without annoying your landlord.
Which of these can I control from my phone?
The RGBIC strips, the corner and floor lamps and the smart sunset projector. They run on Smart Life or Tuya over WiFi or Bluetooth, and several work with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you get colours, brightness, schedules and music sync from the app. The rest are deliberately simpler: a switch, a touch panel or a remote in the box.
What actually goes together in one room?
The combination that works nearly every time is a lamp for the bit you are looking at, a strip behind the TV or along a shelf for the background, and one neon sign so the room has something to look at. Warm tones on all three if you want it calm, colour changing if you do not.
