What a bedside lamp like this is actually for

This is not the lamp you buy to read by. It is the one you leave on in the corner of a nightstand while you wind down, or on a shelf where the glass catches the light during the day and does a job even when it is off. Glass diffuses much more gently than a fabric shade, so there is no hard edge to the light and no bright bulb visible through the top. If you want something you can genuinely read a book under, the swing arm desk lamp is a far better fit at 900 lumens.

Common Questions

Is it bright enough to read by? Honestly, no. At 60 to 249 lumens it is atmosphere lighting. Lovely at 11pm, not much use for revision.

Is it real Murano glass? No. It is Murano style, meaning the round vintage shape, not glass made in Venice. The look is the point, not the provenance.

Does it come with a bulb? Yes, the LED bulb is included and fitted. No batteries required either.

Can I dim it? Yes. Tap to switch on and off, hold to move through the brightness range and the three tones.

Is the glass fragile? It is glass, so treat it as glass. Fine on a stable nightstand, less fine on a narrow shelf in a room with a cat.
