Mesh Desk Organiser | Black Metal Desk Caddy

A mesh desk organiser in black metal, with a section for pens and space for the small things that otherwise end up in a drawer. Wire mesh rather than plastic, so it stays square and you can see what is in it.

What you get

• One organiser with three compartments, not a set of three separate pieces
• Black powder coated metal mesh
• Pen and pencil section plus storage for desk bits
• Open mesh sides, so nothing gets lost at the bottom
• Wipes clean and does not hold dust the way fabric does
• Sits flat with no assembly

Why mesh is the right material for a desk tidy

Solid plastic hides what is inside, so you dig. Mesh means you spot the thing you want from above without moving anything, and crumbs and pencil shavings fall through instead of collecting in the corners. Metal also holds its shape, which matters if it is going to be shifted around a desk for years, and black is the one colour that disappears against nearly any desk rather than drawing the eye.

Common Questions

Is it one piece or three? One. It arrives as a single organiser divided into three compartments. Some supplier listings describe it as 3PCS, which means the three sections, not three separate caddies.

Will small things fall through the mesh? Pens, scissors, rulers and highlighters are fine. Drawing pins, paper clips and SIM trays are not, so those want a lidded pot or a drawer. The pen holder with drawers is the one for tiny things.

Is the metal painted or bare? It is coated black, so it does not mark the desk or rust in a normal room.

Does it scratch the desk? On a bare laminate top it can, as any metal base will. A desk mat under it solves that and looks better anyway.

How much does it hold? A full set of pens and the everyday odds and ends. It is a desk caddy rather than a filing system.

Is there a bigger one? The seven slot mesh organiser with a drawer is the larger version, and the rest are in Desk Organisers.
