Mini Clip Book Light | Foldable LED Reading Lamp

This mini clip book light is a foldable LED reading light that clips onto a book or sticks to anything metal, so you can read in bed without putting the big light on and annoying whoever else is in the room. It is 4 x 4 x 11cm and weighs about 50g, so it lives in a bag without you noticing.

What you get

• 4 x 4 x 11cm, roughly 50g
• 2800K warm white LED at 2W
• 180 degree foldable arm that holds its position
• Detachable magnetic base plus a clip attachment
• Three button batteries included
• Eight colours to choose from

Why a warm reading light matters at night

2800K is deliberately on the warm side. Cold white light late at night is the kind that leaves you wide awake at one in the morning, which rather defeats the point of reading in bed. The magnetic base is the underrated bit: it sticks to a fridge, a monitor frame, a bunk frame or a tent pole, so it stops being just a book light.

Common Questions

Is it rechargeable? No, it runs on three button batteries, which are included. The upside is that it works on a plane or in a tent with no cable and nothing to charge.

Will it clip onto a hardback? Yes, and onto tablets, e-readers and tent poles. The magnetic base covers anything metal.

Is it bright enough to read by? Yes, that is exactly what it is for. It throws a focused pool of light on the page rather than lighting the whole room.

Does it get hot? No. At 2W it stays cool even after a long chapter.

What goes with it? The magnetic LED desk lamp is the rechargeable, bigger version for a desk.
