This outdoor wall light is rated IP67 and built from aluminium, so it takes a British winter in its stride. It throws light both up and down the wall from one fitting, with a warm 3000K glow that suits a front door, a garden path or a set of steps.

Why an up and down garden wall light looks better

A single downward light makes a bright pool at your feet and a black wall above it, which is why so many outdoor lights look harsh. Splitting the beam washes the wall in both directions, so the brickwork becomes part of the lighting. On a doorstep or a stairway that is practical as well as good looking, because you can see the step and the door at the same time.

Common Questions

Will it cope with the weather? Yes. IP67 means it is sealed against rain, spray and even a dunking, so ordinary British weather is well within its limits.

Which finish should I pick? Matte black is the easy match for most front doors, pearl black has a little sheen, and mirror chrome suits a modern render or grey cladding.

How is it installed? It is a permanent fitting that wires into your mains, so it is a job for an electrician, and it will look like it belongs there for years. If you want garden light with no wiring at all, the solar lantern charges itself in the sun.
