Why TV bias lighting makes films look better

Watching a bright screen against a dark wall makes your eyes work harder than they need to. A soft glow behind the TV evens that out, so the picture looks punchier and long sessions feel easier. Because it runs from the TV's USB port there is no extra plug and no switch to remember: turn the telly off and the light goes with it.

Common Questions

Which length do I need? 2m for a 32 to 43 inch screen, 3m for 43 to 55 inch, and 5m for 55 to 80 inch or for going round a mirror or a shelf.

Does it need its own plug? No, it runs off your TV's USB port, so it turns on and off with the screen.

Any setup tips? Leave the little signal receiver poking out past the edge of the TV so the remote can see it.

Does the remote come with a battery? Pop a battery in the remote yourself, as it is not in the box. If you want the light to follow what is on screen instead, the TV sync backlight matches the colours of the picture.

Will the adhesive mark my TV? It sticks to the plastic back of the TV, not the screen. Our guide to fitting LED strips in a rented flat covers clean removal. More in LED strip and fairy lights.
