A stand takes up the corner of the desk you were trying to clear. A hook uses the dead space under the lip instead, where nothing else lives, and the headset hangs out of the way but still within reach. Common Questions

Will it damage the desk when I take it off? It is adhesive, so it can lift lacquer on a cheap finish if you pull it straight off. Warm it for a few seconds with a hairdryer first and peel slowly, and it comes away cleanly.

How long before I can hang something on it? Clean and dry the surface, press it firmly, then leave it 24 hours before loading it. That wait is the single thing that decides whether adhesive holds or drops.

Will it stick to anything? Smooth and clean is what it wants: laminate, painted wood, glass, metal. Raw or waxed wood and textured paint are the two surfaces where adhesive struggles, and if the desk is either of those, a weighted desk stand is the better answer.

What is the difference between A and B? A is narrower and deeper, B is wider and shallower. Both hold the same weight, so it comes down to the space you have under the lip.
