Will it tip over? The base is anti slip, but since it’s plastic it’ll be light, so it will not have the planted feel of a metal base. Pull the headset off gently rather than yanking it.

Will it mark my desk? The base is designed to grip without sliding, so it should not scratch. On a soft or oiled wood finish, check it after a few days as you would with anything rubber backed.
