Capybara Night Light for Kids | USB Rechargeable LED

This capybara night light is a squishy silicone bedside lamp for kids, 10cm long, charged over USB and switched on by touch. It runs up to 16 hours on bright and 56 hours dimmed, so a single charge covers most of a week of bedtimes.

What you get

• 10cm silicone body on a stable ABS base
• 1200mAh rechargeable battery, USB charging
• Up to 16 hours bright, 56 hours dim, per charge
• Touch control, simple enough for a toddler
• CE and RoHS certified, no removable small parts

Why a soft bedside light works better than a plug in one

A plug in night light has to live near a socket, which is rarely where a child actually wants it. This one goes on the bed, on a shelf, or gets carried to the bathroom at 3am, because there is no cable attached to it. The silicone is the other half of it: it gets held and squeezed like a toy, so it becomes a comfort object rather than a gadget on a shelf.

Common Questions

How long does a charge last? Up to 16 hours at full brightness, or 56 hours dimmed, which is where most people leave it.

Is it safe for a baby's room? Yes. CE and RoHS certified, no accessible battery compartment and no small parts that can come off.

How bright is it? Gentle. It is a soothing glow for sleeping and for finding your way across a dark room, not a light to read a bedtime story under. The clip book light is the one that does that job.

Can a toddler work it themselves? Yes, that is the point of touch control. One tap on the body, no switch to find.

Is there a matching one? There is an axolotl and a cat in the same range.

Fair warning, it is quite addictive once you start collecting the animals.
