Desk Bin | Mini Push Lid Waste Basket for Home and Office

A desk bin small enough to live next to your monitor, which is the only place a bin is ever actually useful. Press the lid and it rolls open, take your hand away and it shuts again, so the sweet wrappers and torn envelopes stop building up in a little pile beside your keyboard. Six colours, all of them nicer than office grey.

What you get

• Mini square bin with a press to open rolling lid
• Double layer build with an inner section, so the outside stays clean
• Six colours: yellow, white, green, light green, pink and white grey
• Light plastic, easy to lift and empty one handed
• Stands upright on a desk, shelf or bedside table

Why a rubbish bin this small actually gets used

Everyone has a bin under the desk and nobody uses it, because reaching down there mid-task is just enough effort to make you put the rubbish on the desk instead. Put one within arm's reach and the problem quietly disappears. The lid matters more than you would think too. An open pot of rubbish sitting next to you looks like an open pot of rubbish, whereas this just looks like a small tidy object until the moment you need it.

Common Questions

How big is it? Genuinely mini, made for a desktop rather than a kitchen. The photos give you the best sense of scale, and if it turns out smaller than you pictured, returns are free for 30 days.

How does the lid work? Press the top and it rolls open, then closes itself when you let go. No pedal, no flap that sticks.

Is it just for desks? Not at all. It works just as well on a bathroom shelf, a bedside table, a car footwell or a craft table. Anywhere the main bin is too far away to bother with.

What else goes with it? It sits nicely alongside the desktop storage box and the cloud remote holder if you are tidying the whole desk in one go.

Is it easy to clean? Yes. The inner section lifts out, so you can rinse that rather than washing the whole bin.
