Why an even glow matters on a coloured lamp

Most colour changing lamps have a bright spot where the LED sits and a dimmer patch on the far side, which is fine head on and obvious from anywhere else. The PE shade here spreads the light right around the ring, so the colour is the same wherever you look at it from. On a shelf or a bedside table where you see it from an angle, that is the whole difference.

Does it need batteries? No, it runs over USB and the LEDs are built in, so there is nothing to buy or replace.

Can it do plain white? Yes. It is not colour only, so it works as an ordinary warm lamp when you want one.

How bright does it get? Up to 2000 lm, which is genuinely bright. At the bottom of the range it is a soft bedside glow.

Does it come with a plug? It is USB powered, so any phone charger or laptop port runs it.
